Who are we?

We are a group of family members and residents who came together with the idea of improving the well-being of the residents at The Dean Neurological Centre:

Joanne Woodward

Chairperson and Trustee

Photo of Joanne Woodward. Jo is from Kidderminster and her partner, Harry, was a resident at The Dean until April 2016. “I just want to give a bit back for the care he received.”


Timothy Griffin

Vice-chairperson and Trustee

Photo of Timothy Griffin. Timothy is from Worcester and has been a resident at The Dean since 2014. He writes about living with FSH muscular dystrophy, and is the charity's “IT guy.”


Sam Wilkins

Treasurer and Trustee

Photo of Sam Wilkins. Sam is activity lead at The Dean. Her mission was to set up Friends of The Dean and she continues to be a driving force for the charity.


Jill Gould

Secretary and Trustee

Jill lives in Cheltenham and has been involved with The Dean since her son became a resident in 2017. “I could see Friends of The Dean would be able to make a real difference to the lives of residents and I wanted to be part of that.”


Tracey Evans

Trustee

Photo of Tracey Evans. Tracey is from The Forest Of Dean and her son, Alex, has been a resident at The Dean since 2014. “I volunteer as I like to help the residents have a better quality of life.”


Julie Haynes

Trustee

Photo of Julie Haynes. Julie started her visits to The Dean in 2019 with her companion, Alfie – they were the Pets as Therapy team. “I feel so welcome here and proud to be part of the Dean family. I recently joined Friends of The Dean to help with fundraising and administrative tasks.”
